Sony recently released a new game for the PlayStation 3 called. This game is quite unique in its gameplay system as it involves the use of the new PlayStation Eye camera, a deck of cards, and a play board. The cards are used by showing them to the PlayStation Eye, which then transforms them into 3D characters on the screen. The game is seen as a potential earner for Sony past the point of sale, because players can buy additional cards to play with.

Sony has also spent time creating the cards, so they cannot be copied through the use of special inks. Unfortunately the company’s efforts have failed, and players are finding out that the cards can be scanned and then printed out using a standard inkjet printer without the PlayStation Eye having any problems using them. Kotaku tested out the method, and–as you can see from the pictures the site has–the print-outs are far from perfect yet the game still recognizes them. For Sony, this is a problem, as I am sure the company had hopes to sell a lot of additional card packs, and it won’t be long before hi-res scans of all the cards start appearing on the ‘Net. Pre-Constructed decks were the only way to get certain ultra-rare cards as they were not put into booster packs.Booster packs were also available, using the same formula of rarity (5 Common cards, 2 Uncommon cards and 1 Rare or Ultra Rare card per pack).Unlike the Set 1 cards the Phantoms from this set are ‘normal’ cards but with blank Phantom variations, the latter being the rarest.See the ‘‘ page for more information. “Unlike the Set 1 cards the Phantoms from this set are ‘normal’ cards but with blank Phantom variations, the latter being the rarest.”I think you have some misinformation regarding this. The set 2 phantoms were blank like the set 1 phantoms. The versions with the normal art and text are very rare promos given out to tournament winners from what I understand. I do not know how many normal versions were given out, but I have a set of them in my possession.
I purchased them from someone in Asia around 2009.
